More than half a century ago Gundle introduced wide width plastic sheeting to control damp and water penetration into buildings. Over the years it has expanded it’s manufacturing capacity and is today one of the largest flexible plastic film manufacturers in the Southern Hemisphere manufacturing a large range of both printed and plain packaging materials.

Gundle Plastics Group was founded more than 50 years ago and today is a 100% Black-owned – BBEEE Level 1, ISO 9001:2015

Gundle Plastics Group incorporates the following subsidiary businesses; Gundle API Construction & Agricultural Plastics, Geo-Synthetics Plastics, Swazi Plastics and Gundle Plastics Germiston, in conjunction with a national footprint of branches in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Bloemfontein and Nelspruit. We are currently also developing further into the Southern African region.

Gundle Plastics Germiston has been one of the market leaders and manufacturers in the Industrial and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) plastic packaging product sectors since 1987. This was built on the value proposition of a customer-based solution to all plastic packaging needs and requirements.

Our primary focus products are produced in LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE printed and plain Co-extruded packaging films, with a wide range of products across various sectors.

In line with the Group’s commitment to being environmentally responsible, Gundle Germiston has its own on-site recycling facility. This has enabled us to re-use 100% of the plastic waste generated in the manufacturing process, whilst overring a recycling solution to our clients.
